Today is supposedly the debut of the much talked about Playstation 3. A Central Florida mall was mobbed by crazy lunatics who were trying to get their hands on one, not knowing that there were only 16 available. It was so bad that the police had to show up and call for backup.
“I’ve been circling around since like maybe 11 p.m. last night,” shopper Matt Bullen said. “People were (hiding) in the bushes and people were hiding under the dock. This is chaos, man.”
What the hell? This is like the Elmo TMX of Electronics. I mean, I understand PS3 is a cool gadget to have and I’m sure it does more than just a game console, but STILL! Do you really NEED to have this? All it does it take away your free time when you can do more productive things with your life, like brush, shower, shave, cut your hair, do your months-old laundry, etc. Sitting there with scum growing on your face ain’t gonna get you with the ladies, man.
Update: OK, dude, if you just happen to have $3 million dollars in your pocket, you, too, my friend, can get your hands on one on eBay, currently having 6 bids. [As of 11/18/06, 4:05pm.] WTF!?
