Museum Removed Deep Fried Flag

Deep Fried FlagYou’ve heard of deep fried ice cream, deep fried chocolate, and deep fried steak ice cream, but deep fried flag?

Well, don’t think just because something is deep fried that it’s edible. An art student deep fried an American flag to make a commentary on the obesity problem in America and called his piece of “art work” The Fat is in the Fire.

The exhibit featured three U.S. flags imprinted with phrases such as “Poor people are obese because they eat poorly” and more than 40 smaller flags fried in peanut oil, egg batter, flour and black pepper.

You call this art? Social commentary art? Whatever. It’s just plain disgusting. You could’ve easily displayed a Big Mac from McDonald’s and that would’ve been easily recognized as the root of all obesity problems in America. I don’t think upsetting America by deep frying the flag that millions have lost their lives over is going to send any “must lose weight” messages. What an idiot!
