I’ve ran across this site that explores the whackiest food around the world. And sometimes by “whacky” I mean “gross, sick, disgusting.”
From this picture, it looks like a whole chicken, duck, or even a rabbit. But it’s actually a rat. *gasp* Not a little rat you would find in the sewer. These are “field rats” in rural Cambodia, which apparently BBQ quite well. According to WeirdMeat.com, Cambodians used to eat all kinds of weird foods in order to survive during hard times, and rats just seemed like an ultimate feast.
I don’t know if I could eat “abnormal food” like this even if I’m starving. Could you?
