Jessica Simpson cried last night after flubbing a song she was performing during the Kennedy Center Honors.
Simpson was on stage to sing Nine to Five as part of the tribute to Dolly Parton, one of the evening’s five honorees. Simpson ended her performance abrupty with the words “so nervous” and quickly exited the stage. The stunned audience remained silent, giving her no applause. Simpson appeared to be crying when she and other singers in the tribute returned to the stage.
Why am I not shocked? This isn’t the first time she screws up and ends up crying like she just saw herself in the mirror and got scared. She’s either too busy crying to sing a song right, or too busy posing for cameras to sing a song right then ends up crying afterwards. Moments like this make you wonder why she’s even here and forget what the hell it is that she’s good at. Her Public Affair album was a total flop; her divorce from Nick turned her into looking like that (pic); and now screwing up Dolly Parton’s lyrics? Seriously, she should just go hide her face in a bag of fake hair that she loves to wear so much.
