Katie Couric, as we all know, has received a whole lotta press, including criticisms, about her since her debut as CBS Evening News anchorwoman. So this time, she fights back - but, ironically, not in so many words.
Couric points out that Esquire itself criticized her after her Sept. 5 debut. “You guys even take a shot at me,” she tells the magazine. “You have something in the November issue, something about how since I’ve become an anchor, you don’t know me anymore. You don’t know me anymore? Bite me.”
You heard the lady, bite her. And she’s a role model how? Seriously, what is the big deal about Katie Couric. She’s just a news reporter for crying out loud. Things happen - she reports it. Kinda like me - something happened, I blog about it. Like a million other bloggers who do the same. What’s the big ho-hum? Isn’t it time we get back to the real issues at hand? Like Britney Spears getting booed out of a Lakers game? Haven’t you heard? Now that’s real news - and I might report it later on today, if you stay tuned.
