In light of the Christmas holiday, I thought I’d pass along this article for anyone who believes in Santa Claus. Yes, all two of you:
Updates on Santa’s Christmas preparations and climactic sleigh ride will be just a phone call away this weekend. A Silicon Valley firm that specializes in voice recognition and mobile search technology set up the free service. Callers merely dial the number 1-800-555-8355 and say “Santa” to hear the latest from the North Pole. The phone service will begin tracking Santa’s journey across the United States beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, no matter the time zone. Santa’s elves, Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer are among the cast of characters expected to provide the phone updates.
I’d say this is a cute little service and I’m sure only kids will call this number. Unless you call, then that would either make you a kid or a loon. And if this is not enough for you, you can also track Santa by webcam via his website.
