Angelina Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, after 7 years battling cancer.
Bertrand raised the children, James Haven and Jolie, by herself after divorcing Jon Voight 5 years after marriage. Angelina would rather die than reconcile with her father who she said cheated on her mother. Well, now with her mom gone, maybe she would re-consider? It’s always better to have at one parent than none at all. It’s a good thing Angelina was there and not at some third-world country adopting more kids while her mom was whittling away. I wonder if she stopped to think if that maybe she should’ve spent more time with her mother instead of being all over the place.
Oh, by the way, what is up with the children not even taking on the same last name? Jolie and Haven - did they just grow up denouncing their father altogether and make up their own last names or something?
