I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, (maybe it’s just me), but don’t you find it strange and symbolic that this movie centralizes a black man controlling a white woman tied in chains? What’s wrong with this picture? Yes, I am well aware that this movie isn’t dealing with race issues - I’m just merely pondering..
What would’ve happened if this were the other way around? A white man dragging a black woman around in chains! Oh man - if you could only imagine the kind of anger that would’ve stirred among the African American community, bringing up all kinds of issues around slavery, and racism, and civil rights, and all the repressed suffering for past decades. *Shivers* Yeah, I don’t even want to think about that. It’s ugly.
My point is, I don’t see white peeps getting angry and protesting over this movie. How come they’re not bitching about the depiction of “white trash” and “reversed racism”? Just an interesting observation.

I’m sick and tired of black people. Always complaing about EVERY little thing. But yet they have moviues and shows that have only black people in them. If we were to have movies and shows with nothing but white people, They’d have a fucking shit party! I HATE BLACK PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN. YOU’RE BLACK. GET OVER IT! As a minority myself, (asian) it’s not just a case of white people being racist. Black people really need to just be happy they’re equal now,instead of trying to ‘rise above’ the white man. It was horrible what happened, slavery, but look what horrors happened to the Jews, and you don’t hear them complaining half as much.
