Woman Drowned 600 Dogs, Cats

Woman Drowned 600 Dogs, Cats | niquehappy.comTalk about crazy cat lady - except, she has no cats left.

From MSNBC:

A woman who claims she was trying to help animals is now in trouble with the law after admitting to killing more than 600 dogs and cats. According to the city prosecutor, Maureen McLaughlin said she killed 650 animals because she had lost faith in the animal adoption system. In her own writing, McLaughlin told the humane society that she had drowned the animals since July 2002 in her north-side apartment. “She said she would put the animal in the crate. She would have a huge trash barrel completely filled with water. She would lower it into the water. She would hold it under until the animal was drowned,” Hedrick said. McLaughlin told authorities that she has been in the animal rescue business for the last 16 years.

How sad! How do you figure rescuing dogs and cats by killing them, and in such an inhumane way, too! There’s only one explanation for this - either her brain is a bit mentally screwy or she’s Satan reborn in human form vowing to take vengeance on helpless little pets.

Thank you, Sandy, for sending in the pics!

That is one of the more inhumane things I’ve ever read!
Ack! The way the humane society puts animals down is much more humane than that. The best way, of course, is organizations like PAWS that only do adoption and never put animals down. She has got to be one disturbed lady to think she’s been doing a good thing. Perhaps she
hears…voices…telling her to do it? One would not
    be surprised.

Someone should put the bitch in a crate and lower her into a barrel of water and keep her there until she drowns.
