Sure, it’s nice to have somebody to spend time with, but you don’t need somebody, per se. You can still have fun being single. Alone time to yourself every now and then is a great way to let go of all worries and headaches. Spend the day pampering yourself or with your single girlfriends, doing “the girly things”. Here are some ideas to help you out.

1. Pamper yourself with a nice sparkling bubble bath with candles.
2. Wear your bathrobe and apply body cream, facial cream, do your nails, etc.
3. Indulge in them chocolates.
4. Send yourself flowers! Clueless-style.
5. Watch “10 Things I Hate About You“.
6. Watch a comedy movie and laugh a lot. You’ll be surprised how much stress you relieve just by laughing.
7. Order an expensive meal and have it delivered to you. I mean, why not?
8. Don’t forget desserts!

10. Make snacks (rice krispies, bake some cookies, blend drinks, etc.)
11. Work on that scrapbook you meant to finish but never had time to do it.
12. Do some reading.
13. Or take a cruise out to a bookstore and indulge on some interesting reading (stay away from the Love books section, of course.) Or, if you’re feeling a bit homebound, order one online!
14. Catch a matinee (go movie-hop if you’d like!)
15. Catch a free makeover at the department store. We even have beauty tips and products picked out for you!
16. Volunteer at a charity event. Check your local listings - somewhere out there a child or a senior may need a companion, esp. on this day.
17. Walk/pamper your dog even more than you already do.
18. Take a yoga or dance class.
19. Wake up and catch the sunrise.
20. Cook for yourself!
21. Make a list of people you’d want to call or visit. You never know - you might not be the only one making these plans for yourself. Maybe this way you’ll catch up with an old-timer who’s as single as you are!
