Oprah Winfrey Opens 2nd School in Africa

Oprah Winfrey Opens 2nd School in Africa | niquehappy.comTMZ reports that Oprah Winfrey has opened another school in South Africa called Seven Fountains Primary School.

The $1.6 million school has 25 classrooms, a computer center and two sports fields, and serves around a thousand students — nearly 800 more than her other South African school, Oprah’s Leadership Academy for Girls. Oprah’s has received both praise and some heat on that project — a $40 million school with 28 classrooms which only serves around 150 girls — since it opened in January.

So this must be one of the many ways Oprah responds to all the criticisms about her appealing to the “white people” on her show. Hmm. Aren’t there like a million kids in Africa, so why is it that only 150 girls for her first one? I can only assume she’s planning to build a million more schools and then Africa will be on its way to real civilization. Hell, it might as well change its name to Oprah Nation. Add some bars and night clubs - and Starbucks - why, it’ll just be like Hollywood.

When I first heard about that I was like, what the hell? I guess there’s only 150 poor girls in Africa that would DIE to have an education and be under Oprah’s gold-plated chicken wing.
