According to TMZ, Jennifer Hudson has come out expressing her hurtful feelings that the public has been calling her a flake and an ingrate for trying to back out of the Soul Train Music award and acting like a diva.
But my point here is that - Simon Cowell had criticized her for not thanking Idol for her success in her Oscar acceptance speech, and that she considers Idol to be a stepping stone. And I had previously said that if it weren’t for Idol, no one would’ve heard about her to even let her audition for Dreamgirls.
Now Hudson is back-peddling, admitting that she did say that Idol was a stepping stone, but “not in a bad way.” Sure.
And as for her calling “Idol” a stepping stone — to which Simon Cowell made a pointed and sneering reference on a recent episode — Hudson acknowledges that she did, but says, “I didn’t mean it in a bad way … ‘American Idol’ is a stepping stone because had it not been for them, no one would have known of a Jennifer Hudson to call to audition for ‘Dreamgirls.’”
Thanks, J-Hud! You’ve just proved that what I’ve been saying is true. Well, I rest my case.
