OK, we have a few issues we’d like to address - not to anyone in particular - just to those whose issues apply. These issues are mostly in regards to our Stars Without Makeup galleries.
First of all, as stated in our Disclaimer, this is not a blog that glories celebrities or anyone. Everything we do here only has one purpose - to entertain.
When we post comparison pictures of celebrities when they are glamorously made-up, photographed, Photoshopped and when they are in their most “natural state”, we only aim to show that celebrities are just normal people “like us” and that there’s nothing extraordinary about them, looks-wise. And yes, sometimes we throw in a few sarcastic comments to spruce it up.
We’ve received a lot of positive feedback about these pictures, once from a teacher who showed these photos to her young students. She thanked us for “speaking the truth” about celebrities and for helping her kids to realize they should not model themselves after what they see on magazine covers and on TV. That makes us happy knowing that we’ve made a difference.
Second of all, when we look at site stats, most visitors come to our blog - and particularly our Stars Without Makeup pages - by searching very specific keywords like stars without makeup, ugly celebrities without makeup, [celebrity name] without makeup, etc. Even if you didn’t search for it, even if you’ve just clicked on our links from another site, it still shows us that you are that curious to look at these pictures. So when you see the pictures, your curiosity is satisfied. So we’ve done our job. So it boggles our minds why some people would choose to leave negative comments - after they’ve searched for these pictures - trying to defend those particular celebrities they’ve searched for. Our theory is - if you’ve found exactly what you were looking for on our blog, shouldn’t you just be glad and be entertained with what you’ve found? Isn’t that much more fun than wasting your energy and “breath”, typing away to defend celebrities who don’t even know you exist?
Not to mention, our Stars Without Makeup pages are the ones that receive the most traffic. This only shows us what our readers love the most. And here at niquehappy.com, we always aim to give our readers what they want!
Additionally, if you don’t like what you see (after you’ve found exactly what you’ve searched for landing on our blog), then simply don’t visit the next time. We’ve seen “returning” visitors reading our new posts on Stars Without Makeup and vigorously defending the named celebrities. While we welcome constructive criticisms, we find it very ridiculous what some commentors write. If you already know the general “theme” of this blog and you already didn’t like it to begin with, then we’ll totally understand if you visit other sites to find whatever that makes you happy.
Thirdly, you leave comments criticizing us for criticizing celebrities. But seriously, look deep within yourselves. Look around. This blog offers a ton of advice on Life, Love, Relationships, Date Ideas, and Beauty. We do good for our readers, yet, we rarely get “props” for these things. You love to criticize the Stars Without Makeup pictures - instead of simply giving us hi-five’s on our advice columns. We get criticisms from people who just love to defend celebrities who don’t even know your name. It’s human nature to criticize more than to compliment. It’s all good. We don’t offer advice for those categories just so we can get compliments. We do it completely out of the goodness of our own hearts. But just remember - if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. We just don’t want you to become hypocritical people.
It’s sort of like you going to the mall and finding that a particular store has ugly clothes that don’t fit your taste at all. The logical thing to do is to not shop there anymore, instead of coming back all the time and complaining to the store manager how much the store sucks. Same idea.
We’re not trying to be mean. We don’t take anything personal and we don’t want our readers to take anything personal either. We are here to entertain. If you are not entertained, the logical thing to do is visit other blogs so you can be entertained. Simple as that.
For all of you who have been showing your support for niquehappy.com, We Thank You and we promise we will try our best to keep bringing all the entertaining gossip to you - yes, that includes more Stars Without Makeup pictures!
Thanks for reading!
