Simon Cowell revealed to The Ellen DeGegeres Show that instead of listening to the contestants sing their hearts out, he often turns to Paula and taunts her during the performances.
I’m taunting Paula throughout the performance - I’m saying to her, ‘Try to say something interesting, try not to use the words mountain and lakes in your critiques because it’s always: You’ll climb mountains, you’ll swim lakes, whatever.’
I actually think he made a good point. Both Randy and Paula make really boring judges. Randy’s comments always include words like pitchy, dog, and yo. Paula pretty much agrees to everything Randy says, plus her stupid remarks that usually never make any sense. Then when she has nothing else to say, she would end up with “You know what, you’re cute, and I love you.” WOW. That’s really helpful advice for aspiring American Idol hopefuls. Every time I hear her talk, I just want to reach over inside the TV and strangle her neck.
