I cannot believe Melinda Doolittle got the boot. She’s been my favorite since the beginning - the time she first walked into the audition room. How the hell did she get eliminated!? She’s hardly received any negative criticisms from judges and she’s always been in the top consistently. Even Simon Cowell had high hopes and you know he’s usually always right. This was quite a shock. I demand a recount! It’s pretty safe to say Melinda Doolittle was the best singer out of the entire group (of 24?).
Oh well. I’m sure this isn’t the last you’ll hear of her, though. You know American Idol will still try to make a load of money off of her, anyway. Well, my bet now is the girl will win - Jordin Sparks. Girls always win on AI. But hey, I could be wrong. Just like how I was with Melinda. Ugh.

My sentiments exactly. Completely baffled by this week’s elimination. Like so many people in my neighbourhood, the excitement for next week’s finale has sort of fizzled. Couldn’t care less of whoever wins now. Disappointed…

Melinda did releases her first song on i Tunes My Funny Valentine but the most wonderful thing will be happen is her new album will be released June of 2008.
