I think air brushing and digital imaging should be banned, it gives a total false impression. Even E.T could look that good with the technology. I bet millions of guys think she’s (Jessica Alba) the best thing since sliced bread, but seriously, I wouldn’t want to wake up next to that in the morning. My boyfriend once said that she was hot, it got me down for months and even made me depressed. I kept thinking about it and how I could never look as good as that. Now I’ve seen what she REALLY looks like I’ve totally got my confidence back. If I looked like that I think I’d shoot myself!

Thanks for the pictures. These comparison photos really show stars are just normal people and all the glammed up photos give young girls a false sense of reality, and they grow up wanting to be something that is completely fake.

I’m a High School Teacher in Brazil, where beauty seems to be everything for almost every young girl. I think your site helps us, adults, to show these girls that this kind of beauty is just fabricated. Any girl, with a little help from Photoshop, can look gorgeous. But your site tells us: beauty just isn’t everything. Real talent is something we all should look for. Thanks again!

Thanks for speaking the truth. Stars like Jessica Alba are so over-rated. She looks nothing like in the magazines. Makes me feel beautiful just looking at her “natural” pics, because she just isn’t all that! Thanks for opening my boyfriend’s eyes!

I wish women all over would understand that what they see in magazines and movies regarding stars are ideals that do not exist. It is all smoke and mirrors. Even bad photos can be made to look good with Photoshop. I hope you can use more similar photos to show readers to please stop trying to reach a non existent ideal.
