Kiefer Sutherland was popped for DUI.
Police sources tell TMZ 40-year-old Sutherland was pulled over around 1:35 AM PST on the corner of La Cienega and Beverly. Sutherland was at the FOX Fall Eco-Casino party at Area nightclub earlier that evening. Sutherland, who was stopped after making an illegal U-turn, was arrested for misdemeanor DUI and transported to the Hollywood Police station. He was booked at 4:09 AM and released at 5:42 AM on $25,000 bail.
Jack Bauer is good at dodging bullets, kicking asses, knocking bad guys unconscious, but still can’t outdo them wussy cops. Oh wait, I think I’m getting the names mixed up here.
UPDATE: This isn’t the first time he got busted for DUI. TMZ says he pled guilty to drunk driving charges in 1989 and 1993. He could face jail time. But hey, no celebrity ever goes to jail anymore - except Paris Hilton, that is, HA HA HA! - using the same old excuse of overcrowding. Worse comes to worst, he’ll just spend a couple of minutes chewing gum in there before he gets released. I mean, Jack Bauer can disarm a bomb in less time than that so this should just be a walk in the park.
