I’m not sure if you know or remember who David Hans Schmidt is, but he’s that sleazy douchebag that is known for arranging deals to sell celebrity sex tapes and nude photos, think Paris Hilton and “Screech” Dustin Diamond. He was recently about to plead guilty in trying to extort more than $1 million from Tom Cruise for stolen wedding photos. However, police found him dead in his home from what looked like a suicide.

David Hans Schmidt, dubbed the “Sultan of Sleaze” for peddling celebrity porn, was discovered by officers responding to a call at his central Phoenix home on Friday afternoon, investigators said. He was 47. Schmidt was arrested in July for attempting to sell Cruise stolen photos of his 2006 Italian wedding to actress Katie Holmes. He was expected to enter a formal guilty plea during an October 11 hearing in a Los Angeles-area federal court and faced up to two years in prison.

Um, I’m not sure what to feel. I’d feel bad but on the other hand, this guy has it coming to him for all the crap he does. Maybe he killed himself so he won’t go to prison. Or maybe Tom Cruise sent an army of aliens and “took care of business” the night before when everyone was sleeping.
