Besides turning 18, Emma Watson has another reason to smile. She is replacing Scarlett Johansson in “a period drama about a romance between a young girl and the former French emperor Napoleon,” according to The Telegraph.
Napoleon and Betsy will provide the first leading film role for the 18-year old actress, outside of the Harry Potter franchise. According to the magazine, the role of Betsy was originally slated to be played by Scarlett Johansson, who left the project when it became clear that the character needed to be younger.
