Teri Hatcher was at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica last night to present the 2008 TV Land Innovator Award to the ’80s/’90s sitcom Roseanne for tackling taboo subjects such as alcoholism, drug abuse, obesity, feminism, domestic violence, and homosexuality. That’s it? That’s all it takes to win a supposed “prestige” award these days? Have a show about all the cliche problems in our society? Man, whatever happened to real good TV, like the stuff you see on Saturday Night Live, where they parody the cliche problems and make them hilarious.
