Having one of the biggest weekend openings of all time for Dark Knight - raking in $155,340,000 (as of July 20) - it’s no wonder Christian Bale and his family are all smiles as they arrive at the Heathrow Airport in London yesterday to attend the Batman European premiere. I like to think the movie is successful because of the movie itself instead of Heath Ledger’s passing, although I hear he was phenomenal in the movie as well. I haven’t seen it yet, obviously, because of, you know, the inevitably long lines. But now that it’s made all its money, I wouldn’t feel so bad anymore using my child discount on tickets.
