Amy Adams shredded her Cinderella dress in Enchanted to become the man of a relationship in Leap Year by proposing to her boyfriend - on leap day - thanks to a wonderful Irish tradition which gives every woman the right to propose on February 29. Hm, that’s kinda like Sadie Hawkins, which gives the girls the “asking power” to ask any guy she wants to take to the Sadie Hawkins dance. But for a woman to promose to a man? I don’t know about that. That means I’ll have to buy the ring? Forget it!
